Dissolving stiches?!

Question: Okay, so yesterday I got a Frenectomy done in my mouth for my dentist. I got five stiches, and they're really annoying me. One is hanging down in my teeth. They're supposed to dissolve, exactly how long does it take?

It will dissolve within 7 days subject to healing , so please gargle regularly with the medicine provided, with lukewarm water at least 5 times a day to avoid bacterial growth where doctor has done the job. It is not suppose to hang in any manner, so phone to doctor immediately and get it confirmed , or rush to him , he will fix it on some corner with the Doctor's specialised jel.
Wish you all the best

Stitches in the mouth tend to start dissolving abt a week after they are put in. they wont completely dissolve though. every once in a while youll feel a little piece of something sharp in your mouth, its where its partially dissolved. its ok to remove that. but dont pull on sticthes that are still attatched.

I had this done not to long ago. That happened to me too, mine dissolved in 5-6 days after the procedure. Try not to pull it out though, this will cause some pain, and even an infection.

i got dissolving stitches in my mouth after getting my wisdom teeth taken out. it's only a few days, 4-5. they got on my nerves too.

it takes a week or so. Don't mess with them, you'll want to heal properly. I never had a frenectomy but I had my wisdom teeth out. I know its annoying but let them come out on its own. You could also call your dentist on monday and see if theres anyway he could trim the edge or something.
