I got a filling,week later hurts bad?

I got a filling a week ago,before the tooth didn't hurt at all,no its hurts,this time i got a silver filling because it was in the back,instead of the white fillings. Anyone know why it might be hurting.The dentist has taken x-rays and stuff so i'm sure she would have noticed before the filling if something was wrong.

Sometimes a filling leaks because it didn't adhere well to the edges of the tooth. There's no way the dentist can see that, they have to depend on you feeling it. Return to the dentist that did the filling and they can fix it. Worst case usually they have to replace the filling completely. I've had it happen to me, and it was not a big deal- just go back and get it fixed.
