Just had to removed. how do prevent dry socket. will i get it?!

Question:

Just had to removed. how do prevent dry socket. will i get it?

i just had my back tooth removed because of abscecse. ive had gauze in my mouth for a few hours now it already looks like its healing ok. but my teeth have been getting real bloody so ive stated to rinse it out a few time and its like a huge wall of gooey sticky blood where my tooth was. ive been ready on here and it says that could cause dry socket so i stoped rinsing and jsut kept guaz packed in there and left it alone. am i gonna get Dry Socket??. when will i know. iver herd pain is bad. will i get it?

Answers:

It's ok to rinse your mouth out.

Just don't swish the water around your mouth hard, and not on the side they pulled the tooth.

Just drink some water, and then bend over the sink and let it drain out,

Don't spit it out.

What you are trying to do, is have the tooth hole, scab over.

if you swish water, etc, you will wash the dried blood in the tooth socket out.
