I just got a tooth pulled...and?!
Question: it broke as they pulled it,causing the roots to stay in.well they dug them out with something that looked like a screw driver...after 2 hours both roots were out. ouchy
so now my jaw,when i touch it feels like crunching.does anyone know if this is normal.?

This happened to me also . Your bite my be off from the pulling and you said it took long so you my now have to have your bite lined up also get checked for TMJ clicking in the jaws. That may be caused from teeth grinding. TMJ can cause neck pain headaches breaking of the teeth etc... best of luck
i don't know that crunching is normal. i'd say wait a few days and if it hasn't stopped, then return to the dentist for a follow up.
