Braces helpp?!
Question: They didnt tell me..i think maybe they forgot? but im suppose to be scheduled for friday to get braces. but they havnt removed the 4 teeth they need to ...do they do it the day of the braces or do i get them pulled then the next day braces

Some orthodontists put the brackets on your teeth first, leaving the teeth to be extracted without brackets, this way, they make sure when they send you to the general dentist or the oral surgion, that no confusion to what teeth need to be taken out happens. the general dentist/OS simply takes out the once without brackets, and chances of extracting the wrong teeth are minimized, isn't that smart?
When I had braces a general dentist pulled my teeth a couple of weeks before the orthodontist put the braces on. This was recommended by the orthodontist. Maybe you should double check with your orthodontist. I don't think they would forget to tell you that you would need your teeth pulled before getting braces and it sounds more complicated to pull teeth with braces on.
I had my teeth removed after I had my braces put on. The orthodontist wanted to see how my teeth would shift before taking them out. She also wanted to hurry and tightened the braces as soon as the teeth were removed to start the shifting process. I know it doesn't always makes sense to us, I still get confused with some of the crazy things I'm doing to my mouth. We have to believe that they know what they're doing.
