Question:

Just had a regular tooth pulled (5th one back), normal to have a headache and cheek pain?

The socket itself where the tooth formerly was is sensitive and hurts. The tooth was healthy and was removed for orthodontic correction.

The area of my cheek above where the tooth was pulled is painful, and I have a headache. All of the pain is bearable and goes away with 2 Advil.

I'm not concerned with dealing with the pain, I just want to know if it's normal for me to be experiencing that. Also, when will it stop? Today is 4 days after the surgery.

Answers:

yes i had the same procedure done recently, its normal, even though it all seems to go smoothly, its still trauma and bruising to your mouth. It took me about a week and a half to feel no more pain, as long as your headahe and pain is relieved by advil, that for me was normal, Take care you should be feeling better soon.
