How to prevent cavaties?!

Question: I floss, brush, rinse every single day of my life and yet I still get so many cavaties... I'm scared my teeth are going to like fall out when I'm older. How do I prevent cavaties if I'm already doing everything you should be doing to prevent them??

Do you chew gum, eat sugar sweets, drink lots of sweetened juices? these feed the Streptococcus mutans bacteria which help to decay your teeth.
How often do you brush? Do you brush right after each time you eat? (It may sound excessive but you have a severe problem)
Some dentists can test for S. mutans bacteria to evaluate your disease. A person who does not get any decay often has undetectable amounts of these bacteria, those with high decay rates will also have high levels of bacteria. It may be worthwhile phoning around to find someone who will do this. After the results are back, then you will be put on a program of chlorhexidine rinses to kill off the bacteria. Once the ***** is down, your mouth and teeth are examined for crevices around teeth and fillings which can act as reservoirs for the bacteria. If these are found then they can be corrected. This is the only real way to stamp out tooth decay...get rid of the bacteria which cause it.
For the moment, brush every time you eat, floss in the morning after breakfast and again after brushing last thing at night. this will keep the plaque (the bacteria's home) down and keep the sugar levels (the bacteria's food) low.
One other thing would be to get a fluoride mouthwash and use it after flossing last thing at night. The fluoride slightly changes the composition of the tooth enamel and makes it resistant to decay.
Best of luck with your quest for a caries free mouth.

You might have soft teeth, try a fluoride rinse at night.

Phosflur is what I use and it works really well.

I recommend using a fluoride rinse like Phos-Flur. I used it while I had braces and it kept me from getting cavities.

They have discovered that cavities are largely due to certain types of bacteria in a persons mouth. Some people have them and some people don't. The people that do are more prone to cavities in general. Going to get regular cleaning appointments can help break up the colonies...and I'm not sure, cause every dentist place is different, but where my friend gets hers done, they can look under a microscope and look for the aggressive bacteria. You can also look into getting sealants maybe...but I don't think they put sealants in where there are already fillings...but it's a great preventative measure.

When I was a little girl, my parents took me to this place where they gave shots. They gave me a shot that prevented cavities. Ever since, I haven't even been close to 1 single cavity! Try that...

Besides doing mouth hygene, do not eat or drink sweet things. None at all.
