Penicillin and clindamycin are 1st choice antibiotics for dental abscesses. Erythromycin is a poor choice because it is bacteriostatic (stops germs growing) rather than bacteriacidal (kills the germs). Similarly, tetracycline is also only bacteriostatic. Metronidazole can sometimes be useful but only attacks a narrow range of bacteria and is usually used for anaerobic infections such as wisdom tooth gum infections, and usually in conjunction with a penicillin.
Perhaps you won't get rid of the abscess just relying upon antibiotics. There is no reason to prolong your agony - either ask a dentist to establish drainage through the tooth, or get it extracted. It can be more difficult to get good anaesthesia established with an active abscess, but not impossible.
The longer it is delayed, the more you risk the abscess spreading, and you more likely to end up in hospital where a surgeon will remove it anyway, and you will be on an antibiotic drip feeling as sick as a dog.

I'm not sure if penicillin is in amoxicicillian or not but if not maybe you should try that

penicillin, Erythromycin, doxycycline), tetracycline, Intravenous antibiotics, Preventive antibiotics, amoxicillin, ampicillin, oral antibiotic...from what I heard those are good, but from what I heard if it has gone on for so long those medications may bot be that effective, because they work for my mom sometimes, but not all the time and she constantly has pain in her tooth the dentist told her that she would have to have surgery...on the other hand if you don't hurry and get a treatment it can cause a infection to to other parts of your body...

There are two others that I know of that are used for tooth abscess. Metronidazole and Erythromycin ask your doctor about them. You should get this taken care of because an abscessed tooth is nothing to play around with, it can get into your blood stream and shut down your organs. I had a friend recently admitted to the hospital because of the abscess getting into her blood stream. That pus is like poison.
