you should eat:
-soft foods like:
- yogurt
- soft bread :D
- mashed potatoes(:
- jello!
- pudding
- ice cream
- banana
- soup
- applesauce
- fruit diced
- tofu
- cereal? [im not sure about that]
*P.S try foods cut up or diced into small pieces [easy to chew on]

WARNINGG AVOID:
- GUM! [dont worry i chew it sometimes too! but dont chew those brands like bubbilicious]
try brands like: trident, orbit etc. [try those brands that have thin strips not too thick]
- STICKY CANDY! [jollyranchers,starburst,caramel,...etc....
- hard fruits to chew on [have to be cut or diced]
- popcorn?
try to avoid hard foods & sticky foods that will stick onto your teeth.

hope i helped :D

STEAK. dont eat really hard steak that you have to chew 50 times.
and fat pretzels.
and caramel.

i kno u cant have gum or soda! =]

i ahve braces so i have the list and it is
hard candy, cron chips, doritos, jerky, ice, nuts, pizza crust, corn on the cob, fruits and veggies(only if they are cooked or cut really finly), bubble gun, gun, sticky candy, starbursts, sugar daddies, tootsie rolls, gummy bears, carmels, taffy,
avoid soda pop and drinks that contain sugar
avoid chewing on pencils and pens
and just to let you know stock up on suop and ice cream cause i got mine a couple days ago and it really hurts to chew. good luck

i eat all the things that i did before i had braces.
dentists said dont eat popcorn but i still do. hahahah
