Help with cavities?!

Question:

Help with cavities?

i have a cavity and i'm getting a filling today. is it gonna hurt?

Answers:

I don't know why everyone's so afraid of going to the dentist !
I must admit I was pretty scared when I went there for the first time, especially when I heard all the ouches and screamings coming from the cabinet. But when I got my first cavity filled, I realized there's nothing to fear from and that dentists are there to help you, not torture you !

The feeling of fear towards the dentist is generated by the parents' threats, always telling you that they'll take you to the dentist if you don't behave ! That's really STUPID !!!

A filling doesn't hurt at all, or at least it shouldn't (it actually depends on the dentist you're going to). The first thing he does is to inspect your cavity with a little mirror. Right after, he will try to clean the inside of the cavity using a little needle and some carbone dioxide which kills the bacterias. After the dentist does that, he'll start buzzing with an annoying thing in your mouth (this procedure is done to clean the surface of your tooth that has been affected by the cavity, color black).

After all the buzzing is over, he'll fill the cavity with a sort of cement, specially made for the teeth. Don't worry, generally they use an anesthetic before they begin working on your tooth !

Be brave, you got nothing to be afraid of !
