Should i wear my retainer at night?!

Question: i got my braces off last march and thats when i got my retainer. My orthdontist got mad 2 months ago when i saw him. I could already see two of my teeth starting to get crooked. but i havent wore my retainer in a year and it doesnt fit me anyway., i just tell my parents that in 10 years when my teeth are actually crooked there will be a new invention something better then braces and retianer and will work quicker because look back 10 years ago their braces wore so bad and they had all of this headgear on and stuff. Do i have a point and what should i do?

I wold wear your retainer at night. Your parents paid a lot of money to make your teeth straight, and its just a few hours while you're sleeping. If you haven't worn it for a year, then it's going to be uncomfortable for the first little bit. I broke my retainer, and I wish I had it back.

well think about how long you had to wear them and was it really worth having them on that long to just think the way that you are thinking. Second of all see if you can get your retainer adjusted if you are still seeing your Orthodontist he should adjust your retainer for you of no charge.

Yes, you should most definitely wear your retainer. The retainer probably does not fit, because your teeth have already moved quite a bit from their position when in braces. You definitely should wear your retainer during the night. Teeth are a very big part of a persons looks and health and they are very expensive to repair.

So you went through all of this and your parents paid all that money for nothing?
If your retainer doesn't fit then you need to be refitted, and either have the one you've already paid for readjusted or get a new one. Wearing it at night when you are sleeping doesn't seem to high a price to pay considering all you've already been through.

I don't think you're proving any point :/
But that's coming from someone who wears their retainer EVERY night lol
