What kind of retainer should I get?!
Question:
What kind of retainer should I get?
My braces are about to come out and my Ortho has a few retainer in which each has its pro and cons. Since I'm an adult I'll most likely have to wear it all the time..not only night time.
1st Metal wire boned to the back of the teeth. Supposely its really hard to floss and food gets stuck there all the time . It also can break and you'll wont notice it until you teeth shifts :(
Second Chose A regular retainer you can wear and take off when you eat...Its back to metal mouth again :(
3rd Invisaline...Completely clear retainers...I might throw is out since its so small and clear.
What I want is something convient yet durable that wont let my teeth shift!

Hey. Right now Im currently a metal mouth. Im not positive, but when my friend got his braces off I think that he first started out with invisalign but then switched over to another type of retainer. I know how bad it can suck to have a brace face when your older, but hey if the regular retainer works best, it would be worth it right? Out of all the choices Im guessing that that is the one that has had the most use and success. And its also nice that you can take it off when you eat too! I would say just go for regular because invisalign doesnt always work in all cases. Why not get something that you know will work and not undo all those months of braces! Good luck and take care!
