They didn't cut my wire short enough, its poking me!?!?!

Question: Ok so I went to the ortho yesterday morning and have realized that there is a piece of the wire on the upper right in the back of my mouth, sticking out just a tiny but enough to hurt. Its poking me, and its too short to cut with something and Ihave been putting wax on it but it keeps falling off and the ortho is about 30 minutes away and my parents said that we cant go until my next appt. (a month away). So what can I do?

keep putting some wax on the back for now and go to your ortho asap. that is really annoying and it wont go away without THEM cutting it. i wouldn't recommend you do it yourself.
for the wax... try to dry it off as much as you can then place just a small amount on top.
your parents should drive you because if you keep letting it poke your mouth it could get extremely sore and it could get infected and that would totally suck even more.
good luck hope this helped!

beg your parents to take you to the ortho.. try using fake blood.. lol my sister complained about it all the time and my mom finally took her... she also tried clipping it with pliers, that kinda worked

that's happened to me before, try bending it with tweezers or something... sorry, not much help.. good luck!

Explain to your parents how bad it hurts. 30 minutes away isn't that much time. The same thing happened to me, and I went back the next day even though my ortho is 30 minutes away. Your parents are responsible for taking you to things like that.

First try pushing the ortho wax all around it and dont eat or drink after you put it in, if that doesnt work see if you can get a tweaser in that area and bend it up or down so it doesnt poke you. If none of that work, your parents must take you back in. Oh well its 30mins but Im sure they do that much driving around when they shop. Its very uncomfortable and gives you a sore. Been there done that and I work at a dental office
