How long do crowns last?!

Question: I have one 30 years old, its fine, but may not have dental insurance much longer. Should I have it replaced while I still have insurance?

I've seen crowns last over 50 years with no problems. If you have a low caries index [no cavities in a long time] then you can expect your crown to last and last....especially if it's gold.

You need to talk to your dentist and have him take a look at it. It's like anything else, depends on how well it was made, what it was made out of, and how well you take care of it.

Very good you must have looked after it very well. have your dentist take a look it might be a good idea or he might say its perfect and will give you a long time yet.
