Is there a tooth colored paint they can put over old silver fillings.(small)?!

Question: Or do I need them replaced with tooth colored fillings?

Answers: Or do I need them replaced with tooth colored fillings?

There's no paint. Replacing them with composite isn't the greatest idea either unless you're only doing it for cosmetic purposes. The best restoration is an Inlay, and gold is better than porcelain when it comes to Inlays.

Composite restorations (tooth colored fillings) are known to leak and allow bacteria to enter after a couple years.

Porcelain Inlays are the best cosmetic restoration you can get and they will last a very long time if well maintained.

yea u will need to get them replaced it will cost more then a silver one though unless ur under 18 then its free depending on wat country u live in

yes you can it is called Composites!

you can get a white filling

there is no paint. you can have them replaced with white fillings but i wouldn't recommend it. Everytime they replace a filling they have to drill more of the tooth away which means you need a bigger filling. Also eventually every filling fails so at some stage it will need to be replace anyway. If you want to spend the money you could have crowns put over the filled teeth to protected them and make them look natural. but these opinions are just cosmetic so if they're isn't a problem with the filling technically you should leave it as is.
