Had wisdom tooth pulled last week, does the socket ever close up?
Hello, I had a wisdom tooth pulled last Wednesday and I always thought that the hole in the gums / socket would eventually close up, but it's still wide open. Will it close up and if so how long? My only problem with it right now (and I know it's gross) is when food gets stuck in the socket. It drives me crazy!!

Nine days after surgery is really asking for a lot of quick healing. You had a HUGE tooth taken out and, depending on your age, this will take quite a while to close up. I'm talking weeks here, OK. Just don't sweat it as eventually it will close up although there may still be a depression there.
