What's an easy way to minimize plaque?!

Question: any special toothpastes,
foods to eat, hours of sleep?

or is it just as simple as
flossing and using mouthwash?

Brushing and flossing on a regular basis is going to help you reduce the amount of plaque and along with regular visits to your dentist, will help toreduce the chances of developing decay

It's gonna sound crazy, but brushing before you eat is also going to help you minimize plaque. Reason being is this: there is plaque in your mouth, and as soon as the food touches the plaque in your mouth, it starts to multiply like crazy. If you reduce the amount of plaque in your mouth (by brushing BEFORE you eat), you minimize the amount of plaque there is to multiply. Sounds crazy at first, but the logic is there (least, that's what they taught us in dental school :))

This, however, doesn't negate the fact that you need to brush and floss before you go to sleep.

Hope that helps

its that simple. brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash.

and go 2 check ups every 6 months

i suffer from the same thing..just curious to know if you know what your blood type is because people with type A blood genetically produce more plaque and all you can do is have good oral hygiene... you also have to go for cleaning more often because you get tarter buildup and sensitivily..sensodyne provital helps with this

Brushing and flossing are probably the best way to eliminate plaque .

Think of plaque like a soft film, like; when you eat a bannanna and the bannanna sticks to you're teeth. Feel with you're tongue after you eat one; it's like you can feel a sticky film all over not like a glassy smoothness on you're teeth. Same as like after a hygienist cleans you're teeth, or like after you do a thorough good job brushing. It is the mechanical action of a tooth brush, that wil eliminate plaque. You're cheeks are able to naturally clean the outside surfaces of all you're teeth. Plaque is comprised of bacteria, if you don't remove it it can cause infalmmation of gum tissue and then turn into periodontal disease. A autoimmune disorder that can interestingly enough compramize ones immune system.
