It doesn't take too long to get them fitted. I experience quite a lot of pain because of the continuous tension in the wires when they were first fitted. My teeth were really tender and I couldn't eat properly, but this wore off a lot after 24 hours. You get used to having braces, it's like you've had them your whole life This was at it's worst though, lots of my friends only had a little pain.

It's not agony, it's just inconvenient.

Don't worry x

I doesn't take long at all. I was really worried when i had to have them but in but i found that it doesn't hurt at all. You can hardly feel anything. Don't worry about it. There is nothing to worry about!

it depends if u r gettin both the top and bottem. if u r gettin only 1 half itll take 25 min max and if u get full probably itll take 45-50 min max. when u just get them on they wont hurt but they will feel really tight. but the next morning even if u try bitin down on somtin soft it will hurt the pain will go away in bout 5 or 7 days that wat happened to me wen i got them a month ago

its umcomfortable more than painful and it takes about 2 hours

It took me about 30 minutes, maybe less. It doesn't hurt, it's just boring! Your teeth might feel a little strange, and will probably ache for a few days until you're used to it, but you'll be fine. And imagine how pretty your teeth will look at the end!

well it doesnt take very long...im not sure if it hurts getting them in but you sure are going to feel pain for about a week and make sure to put wax on ....if you dont it will tear up your mouth really bad...and you might want to get some pain realivers...but other than that how ever long you have to keep them on it will be worth those shiny straight teeth..lol :)

When I got mine I think it took about 20 minutes. It didn't hurt getting them on it was just a little uncomfortable. For the first 24 hours or so after my teeth were really sore, and I found it a bit difficult to eat somethings, but after that they felf fine, and within a few days I didn't even notice that they were there.

it will liturally take 15-30mins to get them put on all they are is a little bracket and they are placed on the teeth using a flowable composite material which is used for white fillings also they use a special bond which is like a glue for dentistry and a bit of etchant which prepares the tooth for the bond etc.. the etchent first and then the bond and then the composite which is set with a light which is called a curing light it is uv blue which sets it in about 40secs which is 4beeps as it beeps after every 10 seconds then the wire is placed through and held in with a band these of which are the colours you choose. dont worrie about it if you get any pain just take pain killers i had fixed braces too when i was about 12 and they didnt hurt and if they did was only for one day and took a pain killer and was ok.

if you need any more advice please dont hesitate to get in touch

BTW IT DOES NOT HURT GETTING THEM IN

it took me aboutan hour at the most to get it done once you get into the chair and see the dentist and i hear it depends on the braces if it hurts but my braces dont hurt

It takes like 45 minutes to get them in. If your brushing isn't good and your gums are a bit puffy it can be a bit uncomfortable.

I got my braces fitted earlier today. It didn't take long to get fitted about half an hour. I doesn't really hurt when they are being fitted, except when they pull and stretch your mouth t put the brace in. After wards it leaves a horrible taste in your mouth and your mouth is really dry. At the moment my mouth is hurting a bit (i got them fitted about 8 hours ago). I was also really worried if they would hurt, I am worried that tomorrow morning when I wake my mouth will really hurt. Don't worry its not that bad, a tip is to while you are getting fitted close your eyes and think of what happened yesterday and run through the day in your mind. After wards you cant have much to eat so have a big breakfast! I know you cant have chewing gum, hard-boiled sweets, chewy meat, really fizzy drinks and crusty baguettes. Hope I helped, Good Luck!!!

It look them about 45 minutes to put the braces on, and it didn't hurt getting them on or immediately afterward. After about an hour though, my mouth began to get sore and stayed like that for about a week or two, and I couldn't really chew during that time (bring on the milkshakes!). Even after my teeth weren't sore anymore, I couldn't bite into anything (like pizza or a sandwich) for about two months because my front teeth felt too weird. Good news though is that every time you get your braces tightened, it progressively hurts less and for a less amount of time.

A little trick for you: take some Motrin or Tylenol (whatever you use for pain) before your appointment, so by the time your mouth starts to hurt, the medicine will kick in.

It usaully takes an hour.
When they apply brackects your lips hurt ( it feels like your lips are bleeding ). I cried.
Afterwards it feels fine
1. wear lots of carmax
2. take tylonal advil ect.

Well my appointment was at 9:00am wedsday morning I was really nerveous. But I don't now why it didn't hurt at all ''to me'' but the whole appointment without stopping including x-rays is about a good 45-50 minutes.
