Tooth sensetivity?!

Tooth sensetivity?

I have been have some mild tooth sensetivity.
When i drik cold stuff i have a pain for about 5 sec.. and when i breeth cold air i have some mild pain.
my dentest said it will go away in about a moth but what do u think?


Answers:

Tooth sensitivity can tend to come and go without a great explanation. You should use a sensitive tooth toothpaste such as Sensodyne or Crest Sensitive for a month to see if it resolves. Use only a plain sensitive paste, don't use another kind at the other times of day such as whitening or tartar control as these will lessen the effectiveness. If you don't get relief and you know that you don't have any cavities (due to your dentist already checking) then you may try a prescription toothpaste that has a higher fluoride concentration (like Prevident).
