The impression does not hurt. I work at an Orthodontic office. The impression material we use only takes 30-45 seconds to set up. The impression is a very quick process. Just remember to breath through your nose and if it does bother you at all lean your chin down towards your chest and that will help! When they take your braces off the assistant will take a special plier and pop off your brackets. This doesn't hurt, but it does feel great. Just hang in there because it only take 1-2mins to take off the braces! Good Luck!

They just put this kind of clay on your teeth too mold your retainer. No Pain. Just takes 10 minutes.

no it doesnt hurt, all an in print is is like plaster of paris gunk they put on these plastic things and they hold it in your mouth till it sets a bit. Its just a mould which is like cold plasticine XD

nope not at all. its this molding clay thing. they put it on your teeth and my sister said it tasted like cookie dough. it didnt take that long. she had plaster on her teeth, they took it off, and they just take the molds, let them dry, and create a retainer for YOUR teeth (different people have different sizes of teeth u kno)

ps u should ask for plastic retainer. (the kind that is kinda like invisaline) u can not see them at all. its a really nice thing. its much nicer than the kind with wire. and ask for not getting the kind that they paste on your teeth. its really hard to clean.

No pain they just mold a some clay on your teeth and turn it into a rentainer. It doesn't take that long and it's pain free. Sometimes it can feel big in your mouth but thats about it!

good luck!
