Retainer in mouth is broke?
I've had a retainer in my mouth since I had braces 20 years ago, bottom part of my mouth. Today, after eating chips and salsa, the retainer came loose and now it is starting to hurt. I wont be able to see the dentist until Monday. Will this mess my bottom teeth up? It's a permament retainer and now my mouth feels weird.

My orthodontist gave me a non-permanent retainer for my top and bottom. I also have a permanent for the bottom. This is in case my permanent bottom breaks.
But go to the dentist as soon as possible. If not taken care of, it could cause your teeth to shape back to their regular form.
