Will I still need rubber bands?!
Question: I have braces on my teeth right now. I was told I was going to have to get uhh rubberbands, like on the back side of the braces, the ones tht connect to the top of my mouth to the bottom.. Well I don't want those, and I don't think I need them. My teeth are already moving from being overlapped. Also, I was going to have to get the rubber bands because I couldn't put my top jaw over my bottom jaw,like most poeple can do. I'm able to do that a little bit better now that I have just had the brackets on.
Will I still have to get the rubber bands?
It seems like the brackets are working, without the rubber bands.

I know what you mean. I have braces right now. Just a month ago I started wearing the rubber bands to fix my overbite. Before the braces I couldn't put my lower teeth past my upper teeth, but then just a few months ago I could. (without help from the rubber bands) I still had to get the rubber bands, and you probably will too. Yes, they suck, but your otho knows best. If you have any more detailed questions, your ortho will probably know more than us..lol.

Hmmm sorry im not quite sure what you mean?
Also do you mean you have what is called an 'underbite' which is where the bottom jaw goes infront of the top one instead? I had the oposite problem i had an overbite which had to be corrected with surgery last year.
