I brushed my teeth and all of a sudden my gums looked like they were bleeding..?!

I brushed my teeth and all of a sudden my gums looked like they were bleeding..?

so i was brushing my teeth and then all of a sudden my gums looked like it was bleeding. it wasnt really bleeding but it looked like blood was on the inside. and there were some parts of my gums that were along my toothline. was i brushing to hard? i brush softly though.. or was i brushing too long? will they go away...?
