I dont know whats going on with my teeth? any dentists? or anyone else that can !

Question:

I dont know whats going on with my teeth? any dentists? or anyone else that can help? I have pics too.?

Before you say go to the dentist, I am on Tuesday. Im 13 and live in Australia. I have had a plate for 46 days now, Its to push forward my top right eye tooth. Now, when I close my mouth , my teeth FEEL crooked and out of place. Though there not reallly. On the left, my top row and bottom row touch, as the top teeth are over the bottom. And on the right, it doesnt touch. It feels really weird and uncomfortable. Though if I have to, I will get used to it. Why is it like this and what can I do? It it worth telling my dentist?

Here are the pics.

The plate,

Answers:

What you're wearing is called a "retainer". Your dentist is using it to move your misplaced teeth around in your mouth. Since your other teeth are fairly straight you don't need to wear full braces.
Teeth are always moving slightly in your mouth anyway so your dentist is using this fact to rearrange the teeth that are not where you want them. They are going to feel strange for a while until you get used to the new feel of your teeth. Your "bite" will change, which means that they will not meet in the same way anymore, and your teeth will feel strange until you get used to the new "bite."
If you have any questions about what is going on or why your teeth feel strange, please make a point on asking your dentist about it when you see him next. It's part of his job to explain these things to you.
