Answers: when i go to get braces on what are the steps to putting them on my teeth

Well first they clean your teeth after putting you in lip streachers so your lips do, nexnt get in the way then, they put on this stuff so the teeth will except the bonding material. Next goes the bonding material. After this is applied, the Orthodontist places each bracket on one by one. Next he puts a UV light on your teeth to harden the bonding material. Then he puts the archwire on and holds it in with bands of your color choice. Yay you are done.

sour stuff then the metal squares and wire and then the elestics and done then pain

it depends how bad your teeth are babes;
im sure yours a fine so youll probs get a retainer tht u ether have to get tiightened or get a head cage tht u put on while u sllep and thne u get fixed braces

Good luck hunni

1. they will ask you to brush (or they should)
2. they size you for the rings on the back molars!
3. something to keep your mouth open is put in your mouth
4. they put the rings on your back molars on each side top and bottom.
5. they take glue and put the brackets on
6. put the wire in
7. put colors on
8. rinse your mouth, make sure everything's on right, and go over cleaning and care with you

it takes about 1 hour to 1 1/2 to get them on!

1) a mouth thing is put on so that your mouth doesn't get into the way (it stretches a bit and it's kinda uncomfortable)
2) glue that gets put onto your teeth (dont taste it, its disgusting)
3) brackets get put onto each tooth (square metal things)
4) wires get put in
and that's all that happened to me, i didn't get any elastic bands. some people say that it feels sore but i guess it depends, i didn't really feel much pain but it just felt awkward and the metal tastes weird.

Well first you brush your teeth. Then the orthodontist measures bands to put around your molars. Next, they place the brackets on with sour cement. After that, they pop on the wire. And last but not least... you get to pick the colors!!!
The process of putting braces on doesnt hurt, but the next day they hurt terribly bad. Im not trying to scare you. You might want to take tylenol to ease the pain.

in your first visit, the orthodontist will probably take a mold impression of your teeth and a panoramic x-ray. also before your appointment, your orthodontist might insert spacers to make enough room for the metal bands that will be inserted in the back - this can be painful or uncomfortable. you may have to have the spacers for 1-2 weeks.
then when they are put on, the orthodontist will insert this plastic lip separator so that your lips wont get in the way.
then the glue is applied to each tooth and the brackets are glued on. like the others said, don't taste it - it's awful!
then they thread the wire into each bracket and tighten it and finally the o-rings are applied.
your mouth will feel sore for a while as it gets used to the braces and using tylenol/advil and the ortho wax should help.
you should also eat soft foods for a day or 2. you might also feel discomfort for about a day after the bands/wires are replaced or tightened usually every 4-6 weeks.
hope this helps. good luck!

moulds, xrays, then sour stuff, glue, then you're done!
