Answers: i am chewing kuber gutka

The use of any tobacco product has both immediate and long-term effects on your health and overall well-being. Smokeless tobacco stains and wears down your teeth, causes your gums to recede (peel back) and produces mouth sores. Bad breath is also a common problem. Over time, the use of smokeless tobacco can cause mouth cancer. Nicotine from smokeless tobacco also raises blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and can make it more likely that you will have a heart attack. It is important for you to have your own reasons for wanting to stop using smokeless tobacco. Set a date to quit and stick to it. Choose a date 1 to 2 weeks from today. Quitting can be hard, so develop a plan that works for you. Think ahead about times when you will want to chew or dip, and plan what you will do instead. Prepare yourself for quitting by identifying the times when you will want smokeless tobacco the most. Plan to avoid those situations or to have tobacco substitutes with you (such as chewing gum). Get rid of all your chewing tobacco. Start cutting down now on the amount you chew.

Get support from your family, friends and doctor. Even better, have a friend or family member who uses smokeless tobacco stop chewing at the same time that you do. Studies have shown that people who have the support of family and friends are more successful at quitting.

Find an oral substitute for smokeless tobacco that you enjoy. This may be non-tobacco mint, sugarless gum or hard candy or elaichi. Don't substitute cigarette smoking for smokeless tobacco. Stop using all tobacco products.

Find activities to do when you want to chew. Many people chew when they are bored. Instead, take a walk or a quick jog, or just relax, or do any activity you enjoy that will keep your mind off smokeless tobacco.

Don't buy the tobacco and don't put it in your mouth and then if neither of those work, don't start chewing. If you do start chewing, just spit it out.

I just saw a video about tobacco chewing in one of my classes. They also mentioned how to quit.
*Set a quitting date
*On that date, throw out all the tobacco.
*You might want to mix half of the real chew and half of chew that's not tobacco so you don't get really bad withdrawel symptons.
*Chew gum instead of tobacco.
*You might want to add a little more salty foods into your diet for a while when you're trying to quit.

Here's a web site that might help!

Good for you & Good luck!!!
?

don't start it!!

You first have to decide that you REALLY want to stop, and you will have half of the problem solved. The second half is to accomplish your goal to stop. Hey, as the old saying goes
" No one said it would be easy" Just stay away from the sweets and other snacks to satisfy your desire to have something to chew on. When I got disgusted with smoking I decided to quit for the second time and I just started counting the days since I last smoked, first it was days, then months then years and now I am still counting but the number is 38 years. And the other down side is it is bad for your teeth.

First of all, that can cause tons of cancer and can rot your gums out! If I were you always bring someone with you when you go to a store. They will tell you right from wrong.

1. Buy a stopwatch and a notebook.
2. Write down your goal, and the time you intend to begin its attainment.
3. Stop chewing. See how long it was till you failed. (write how many hours or days you went without it).
4. Resolve to outlast this progress span, next time.
5. Repeat till you no longer chew at all.

ANY new life resolve may be attained by this method.

The way to achieve any goal in life is to take BABY STEPS.

Filthy room? Clean it up for just 3 minutes a day.

Swearing? Resolve to be quiet for an hour, then two, then three...till you habitually can be silent,m rather than pollute the atmosphere with your garbage.

Gambling? Take less and less to the casino each time, till it isn't worth the trip.

Overweight? Walk just 5 minutes one day, then increase it by a minute or two each day thereafter.

Baby steps make all things possible. You don't need books, tapes, friends, church, family or any other thing to become the person you desire to be.

Just set goals and then list the baby steps to fulfill them.

PS - If you aren't improving, you aren't really alive. This means YOU, dear reader.

Now get doing! ...and good luck.
