Bleeding gum weird swollen bump between my thooth, I'm FREAKING OUT?!

Question: I have not been to the dentist in years (I know, bad girl). but I have no money to pay and no insurance. Besides, I feel like I don't need to go because I never have problems with my teeth. I take care of my teeth, never have tooth aches. But I noticed an issue today and it has me really worried. It was a little sore in this one area tonight, not unbearable pain but sore. So I went to brush my teeth and it was bleeding a lot and I noticed it was really swollen in this one part by my tooth. There's a little red bubble there i can even feel it with my tongue. It bleeds when I touch it or press on it feels swollen i guess is a better word? and I don't know why! I don't know what to do about this. ADVICE PLEASE!?!?

You probably have a gum pocket. Where the gum separates from the tooth base and bacteria, food, etc gets stuck inside and grosses out. You should really see a dentist. If not be very vigilant with your oral hygiene. Keep your mouth bacteria level as low as possible, gargle a lot with alcohol-free mouthwash. Gingivitis (swollen gums) can lead to periodontis (diseased gums) which can cause gum receding and a bone infection of the jaw, which can cause a blood infection, which can cause death. Take care of your teeth, and really see a dentist.

That sometimes happens if you eat chips or something sharp and it gets shoved into the gum

My sister had this exact problem. I don't remember what it's called. All i remember is that she went to her family physician and he referred her to an oral surgeon. i just remember it was definitely not a life-threatening problem and im sure yours isn't either, but it is certainly not something to be messed around with. I would recommend making an appointment with your local doctor and see what he has to say about it, what he thinks it is, and what kind of specialist you should see for it.

Sounds like a bruised gum.. Gargle with salt water..Oh yea, SEE A DENTIST!!!!!!

it could be an absess. Do the salt water gargling and continue to floss the area. See a dentist.
