Generally do dentists have big egos?

I'm trying to choose between dental hygiene and dentistry. I can't pick. Do dentists have big egos? Will people hate me and ask me medical advice every time I turn around? Please answer. Thanks

Those sound like trifling issues that a dentist usually would not be concerned about.

I would suggest getting involved with the ADA-sponsored mentoring program so you can observe as many different dentists as you wish and get a more complete picture of what the profession entails. Then you can decide if it is for you or not.
