Gingivitis affects the gums, causing them to recede away from the teeth. It is one problem most people develop as they age. You can help prevent it from becoming too severe by consistent, good care of your teeth, with the brushing, flossing and regular cleanings every 6 months. If it becomes severe, there are several toothpastes on the market that claim to help, but which ones are best is hard to really tell....ask your dentist's opinion. One toothpaste that has been around for years for sensitive gums and teeth is called Sensodyne, and they claim to be the most highly doctor recommended. If the condition gets bad enough, I believe there is a gum surgery dentists can perform for it.....again, discuss it with your dentist, if it gets worse. The most important thing to do to protect your gums is flossing!

Gingivitis is a disease that causes bleeding in your gums. Brush your teeth gently to avoid it bleeding. It can also be bacterial. There are toothpastes available in the market that help prevent gingivitis. However, if you don't do anything to stop it, it can become severe, so treat it while it's still in its early stages.

It's not SERIOUS, but it's not good, either. One of the best things you can do to get rid of it is to brush/massage your gums to increase blood flow. Also, be sure that your diet has plenty of vitamin C from things like citrus fruit; vitamin C is essential for the health of your gums.

its gingivitis.talk to your dentist, what to do?i have a friend, who stopped going to the dentist a long ago,and all her gums are red and swollen.eventually i noticed, the gums are receding more and more, leaving the teeth more exposed.my friend doesn't do anything about it.the teeth will become loose and eventually fall out.the gums bleed off and on,she told me.and i noticed, she has a really bad odour(breath).

its pretty bad but i have seen worse. That means that your gums are infected because your either brushing too hard against your gums or your not brushing them properlyor enough. Take care of your teeth because there is a chance that you could lose them.
