Is it ok to sip Listerine straight from the bottle?!

Question: I bought a travel size bottle of Listerine mouth wash and I found that it's easier for me to sip the mouth wash from the bottle instead of pouring it in a cup and wasting what's left. I don't share the bottle with anyone else.

Is this ok to do or did I ruin the mouth wash? I don't spit in the bottle or anything.

Ha ha, you are living life on the edge now Butterfly.

Yes, it's fine to take it straight from the bottle. The reason that they put the measuring cap on the bottle is for multiple people using the same bottle and if you use the cap, you can rinse it off and not get any water into the mouthwash, hence, it's still sanitary.

It's fine.

As long as no one else is using the bottle, I don't think there would be any reasons why not....? But, I don't know, everyone backwashes, even without even knowing it, so you never know I guess. Good Luck!

Germs are transmited through direct contact of Saliva, touch, blood, urine, feces ETC. But yes, you can contaminate the edge of the bottle where someone may pore from. Though Listerine kills germs there is a high percentage it won't kill all of them. For percautions, around my house atleast we use disposable cups for eating and mouth rinsing ETC. My father is a dentist and he recommends using listerin out of disposible cups. So to be safe, let me use a phrase.

My mom always taught me to share, though she didn't say germs.

Purple one taste the best.

with the travel size you should be good but if you get a big bottle DONT do it it leaves your nasty unclean germy spit on the top so when you drink it again it will be working more on the germs you just put in your mouth instead of the germs already in there and it dosnt matter if you dont share germs are germs!

Sure it is like drinking wine and tastes better too.
