Abcessed tooth?!

Question: So, I recently had ALL the symptoms of an abcessed tooth and now the pain has gone and everything seems fine. I have no gross fluid in my mouth coming from it and I don't have a gross taste in my mouth either. That's why I don't think that is was a cavity, but maybe my wisdom teeth that caused it. Now I feel fine and have little to no pain in the tooth. Also, many people say that the infection can spread into the blood stream causing my jaw and everything to be infected too, which can cause death as it causes the throat to swell up and stops breathing. I have it on the bottom, so their is no way it can get to my brain only my jaw. Can I still have this problem even though I seem fine? My ear hurts a little, but my throat is not swollen and my jaw doesnt hurt. I still will go see a dentist as soon as I can, but I cant get to one anytime soon. What do you think?

If it was really an abscess then it can enter your blood stream and cause problems in other parts of your body. It is common for an abscess to go down, but most likely it will come back, might be tomorrow or even next month. An abscess can be gum related (periodoontal disease, or tooth related(large cavity). My advice will be to see your dentist and get it treated.

You should see a dentist to get the final word. Better safe than sorry as they say. Sometimes infections can remain hidden and not have any symptoms so it's better to consult the experts.

it is possible that the nerve in your tooth has died meaning you will need to have that tooth removed. abscesses recur and don't fully disappear until the tooth is pulled or has a root canal. It is true that the infection can spread and even kill you. You should see your dentist asap.
Good luck.
