What is a black bump on the gums called?!
Question: i saw someone at my school with a black bump on their gum,ill! it looked very weird.actually its a friend from my school.but i just wanna know what kind of bump could that be?and why does it have to be black?

Might be a blood blister. Black because it's filled with congealed blood.
It's commonly referred to as disgusting.
Could be lots of things, but probably it is a hematoma ("blood blister") from a bump or from a sharp object such as a piece of food, pencil or such. Blood can look quite black sometimes.
It could be something more dangerous, such as an infection or tumor. If you feel comfortable talking to your friend, see if he/she knows about it and if the school nurse has seen it.
If its on the mucosa, It could be a traumatic haematoma (blood clot) or mucocele. On the gums could be eruption cyst / abscess. The dentist would confirm.
