Okay my next visit is to get a root canal(s) done, actually (2) right next to one another, is it?
painful AFTERWARDS once you get home and all the novacaine wears off or what?
I've never experienced tooth pain my entire life, even w/extractions ....... altho this is obviously different, since nerves will have been ripped out.
My app. for this is in 2-3 wks.

I am already on anti-biotics coz I actually had a rotten wisdom tooth pulled today.
Answers:
I have had a couple root canals done and the only thing that bothered me is having my mouth open so long tends to make the jaw tired. I did take Motrin or Advil afterwards but never had any pain. the gum around the tooth was sore and the tooth a little sore as well but the Advil worked great. I have assisted the dentist with many root canals and to see one on the opposite side of the chair is very interesting to watch not to mention no one is ever the same. Think of the alternative of have the teeth removed and then they won't come back but with RC's you can keep your teeth. Just be sure you take Advil or Motrin whatever you use for minor pains and you should be just fine.
