Infection or normal?!
Question: I ahve just had my tongue pierced a day ago an im handling it pretty well i dont touch it with my hands because im scared to and have been washing mouth out alllot with antiseptic mouth wash...but today i looked under my tongue and there was like a yellowish bogie like substance underneath my tongue around th whole is it normal for it to happen or is it an infection???!! I got it off with a cotton bud soaked in antiseptic and washed my mouth out with warm salt water. what was it could you please tell me. Also the swelling isnt hat bad for me. Thanks!!

it could be a build up of plaque around the wound, try warm salty mouth rinses. if it starts to swell go to your doctor.
It freaked me out just reading this! If there is no heat coming off it then you are probably OK for now but if it swells any more or you develop a temperature contact your GP.
Most likely will be no problem but was a very foolish thing to do as there is always bacteria in the mouth & the ring could cause trouble at any time!!
Kids don't do it if you got to do it put them external!! DMD 32 Yrs
My God I wonder if it was really worth the hassle?
