I'm not an expert on this, but I think it's both -- the professional care would be the more expensive aspect, however.

Regarding dental care, quality is very important -- once again, this applies to both the dentist's work and their materials. Poorly trained and careless dentists or orthodontists can do significant amounts of damage to your health. Dirty or unsafe materials can also be quite dangerous. All of these situations would leave the dental surgery in question open to litigation.

Greedy dentists

First off the dentist invested a lot to get his degree and know exactly what to do for your mouth.
His and his staff's time is costly - as is his over head.

I'd say the professional time is the real cost. Let alone lab fee's and the X-rays aren't cheap -
the metal/bands/ aren't that expensive but you are paying for individual 'needs' - if your teeth are very crooked it is an investment of a life time.

Because medical professionals live in vry expensive houses and drive very expensive cars.

Professional fee for sure.
