Nerve treatment vs. Root canal?!

Question:

Nerve treatment vs. Root canal?

Is a nerve treatment (for the tooth) the same as a root canal treatment? If they are different, how are they different?

Thanks!

Answers:

Yes they are the same. A root canal treatment is actually taking the nerve out of the tooth, then making the canals a little bigger and filling them with what is called gutta percha. It is a rubber-like material that doesn't interact with the body.
