I recently cracked a tooth. What will the dentists do when I go see one?

I cracked a tooth a couple days ago and wonder if i will have to get it pulled.

What will be done if it hasn't gone below the gum line?

Answers:

It depends upon how deep the crack is. If it goes below the gum line, you are looking at a root canal, (no big deal, just expensive) . Don't pull the tooth, do everything you can to save it.
