I broke a part of an incisor tooth and need a little clarification.?!
Question: This happened when I was a little girl. (I don't remember how old I was at the time). The dentist my parents carried me to replaced it....I'm not sure if it was the broken piece they attached back, or if it was capped, but it was fine until it (the cap or the actual tooth, that is) fell off last night. I am now 23 years old and will be going to the dentist soon (not to the same one as I don't have a clue where to find him). Just want to know what (if anything) can be done about it. Thank you.

It was not the peice of the tooth that fell off. That is impossible to reattach. It depends how big the peice is that fell off as to what can be done. If it was a white (Composite) filling that was done, it can probably be replaced. If more damage was done, it might have to be crowned. don't worry, the dentist will know how to take care of it.
