I got knocked in the mouth and my braces archwire has been bent..What do I do?
Well I was playing basketball and I got elbowed in the mouth and the wire got bent..This is my first month of having braces and my next appointment is June 21st..What should I do..wait til' then to get it fixed or call my orthodontist immediately?
Will this affect how my teeth move? The wire is only bent slightly upwards, if that matters..
Answers:
I would give a call to the orthodontist's office and let them make the call. If it is your initial wire they might not be that concerned, but then again it depends on the Dr. It will show them that you are concerned about being a good patient and that never hurts. Accidents happen after all!
