Crest Whitening Strips and Composite fillings("bonds")?!
Question: So I'm considering getting my teeth whitened, except with my budget I'm limited to the whitening strips. I bought a box, but it says nothing about composite fillings, or "bonds". I'm not sure of the proper name, but it's the stuff they use to fill in cracks or chips.
Weeeell, my front two teeth broke in half in 6th grade so 90% of my front teeth are that, and I'm wondering if the whitening strips will weaken it, cause it to chip, and/or seem unevenly colored due to the difference in material.
I don't have a dentist to call and ask, so I figured this would be best to check with first and go from there.

I don't think the strips will weaken your composite fillings. The only problem is, they will not whiten..AT ALL. When we have a patient come in with your situation, we ask them have they ever considered having they're teeth whitened ? If they say yes then we use the lightest shade we have to place the fillings, so down the road, if they want to whiten they're teeth, the 2 front teeth will already be a White shade.
