Braces soon!!!?
as you probably gathered i am getting braces soon (the usual train tracks). i am 14 nearly 15 and i am slightly nervous but the thing thats really bugging me is headgear, does anyone know how likely it is i will have to have it? i've never seen anyone with it, is it that common? also, do you think braces make people look unattractive?

There is no need to be nervous I have braces, they are NOT that bad. They don't hurt as much as ppl think and you get to choose funky colours. But if you don't want ppl 2 notice your braces go for lighter or paler colours.
If youre worried about looking unattractive youre not going to, braces are in your mouth and most of the time ppl don't notice and if the do not many say anything. It took nearly 9 months for some ppl to realise I had braces. lol.
Anyway about the headgear if it is necessary for you, which I think is highly unlikely if you have already been told youre getting train tracks, you have the choice about it none of the orthodontic treatment is forced on you.
One last thing, don't be ashamed of your braces hun they are going to give you a million pound smile at they end of it. =)
