Getting braces off tomorrow...will everything taste like metal after??!
Question: Ok, so I'm really excited about getting my braces off FINALLY!!! I've heard a lot of people say that everything you eat for the next few days tastes like metal and that I won't want to eat. And will my teeth be sore, like after they tightened wires?

No! You food will taste fine, and you'll eat fine. Your teeth also won't be sore, but you'll be amazed at how smooth your teeth are when you run your tongue over them.
That's the only thing that my friends and I really commented on as being really different when we got our braces off.

No not really, your teeth will feel really slippery though
Well, in my experience, the surfaces of your teeth where the brackets were will feel weird and your teeth will feel different against the inside of your lip, but I don't remember anything tasting like metal :)

no everything does not taste like metal. however because you have had the braces on your teeth will feel "loose", they will not hurt. but then you get your retainer in about a week, have fun...
not really. it will just feel EXTREMELY weird.
and all slimmy and stuff.
