Answers:

Try Aleve for the pain...the 12 hour stuff. If it is indeed gingivitis, it can be be reversed. Start flossing your teeth once a day. If it's gingivitis it will hurt really bad for the first few days, but after about day seven your teeth will feel a lot better and the ginigivitis will eventually go away. However, this might not be gingivitis at all. It could be that you have a lot of cavities, root damage, chipped or cracked teeth, or periodontal disease. Any of these can cause this. When you floss do your gums bleed, give pus, or smell bad..If not then it's probably not gingivitis. You should go see your dentist as soon as you can. He can check your teeth out and find the real problem..It could just be that you're stressed and grinding your teeth at night. As for the antibiotics, as long as they're yours you can take them, but it might not do much good. If you have an abscessed tooth it may help with the infection, but without knowing the type of antibiotic it is, I couldn't tell. So take the aleeve and call your dentist. Sorry for your pain. Hope this helps.
