Question for people who have had braces/gotten them removed!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!
Question: my teeth are straight but they don't look as straight as some of those "after pictures".....for the people who have experienced braces...do your teeth look straighter with your braces on or after they removed them !!!please help me!!

my teeth looked aallllllooooott better after i got my braces off. & i should know, i had them for 5 years! they looked straight with them on...but you have to keep your retainer on every night or they will move again...& that just looks bad. so if you get them. make sure to wear your retainer

They do look better after you have the braces removed. I had braces on for two years and had them removed my senior year of high school. Remember, those before and after pictures you see around the orthodontist's office are selected by him to promote his business. Rarely to people have perfect smiles. There is usually wear on the teeth or other abnormalities. Wear your retainer at night, and I mean it. I lossed mine and was too cheap to spend the 300 bucks to buy a new one, now I have to spend 3 grand for braces again. Hope this helps, stay healthy.
Your Orthodontist should have removed your braces only after consulting with you or your parents explaining the desired effects.If you feel they are not straight enough,he could offer another treatment that includes wearing a mouthpiece or headgear at night.I know that braces are expensive and very uncomfortable....so you need to speak with your orthodontist.
