Yes, they could be herpes. BUT! they could also be little bacterial infections. I suggest trying to limit the amount of bacteria in your mouth by rinsing frequently with mouthwash and applying an antiseptic made for coldsores or cankersores. If this doesn't improve them, talk to your doctor because you can go on prescriptions like Valtrex which keeps the viral infections at bay, and lessens your chance of spreading them. IF they are herpes. Your doctor can check with a swab sample or blood test to make sure.

Herpes is a virus that lives in your body for life, usually popping up in the form of blisters which are called "outbreaks". Herpes can form on the genitals (genital herpes) or on or around the mouth (cold sores). There also have been cases where people get them on their eyes or other places. If you want to be positive, go see your doctor and have them give you a simple test. Cold sores can be spread to the genitals through contact, so it could be possible to spread them. But, dont be worried. Many people have genital herpes, and MILLIONS have cold sores. If your really worried, I think you should see your doctor for a prescription.

well most people would call them cold sores, and I doubt you really want to know more, but here it is....it is herpes!!

You need medical help for this.

If it's herpes, it doesn't just go away. You will have it forever. It stays dormant and then appears occasionally.
There are things you can take to keep it in check, but you need to see a doctor for that.

There are different types of herpes, which is why you know a lot of people that have gotten cold sores, but may not even be sexually active.
Usually the ones in the mouth, are commonly called cold sores (like mentioned above). Many people get these and recurrences are related to stress or sickness (stress on the immune system). These tend to be only on movable tissue in your mouth (unlike the roof of your mouth)
What I think you're afraid is the other kind of herpes. That one is extremely uncomfortable and can affect all parts of the mouth (or genitals- and can be spread from one to the other). They appear in clusters at a time. Sometimes when they first occur, they are really bad and called
primary herpetic gingivostomatitis
google/ yahoo that phrase for images and it will probably make you feel better.
