how do i know if it isnt infected....im on penicillin and on a soft diet...but should my scab be white?

Yes - it should be white at this point.

I'd stay away from hydrogen peroxide - it can burn. I'd use warm salt water, avoid hot/spicy foods, and stop smoking if you do.

Just give it time. It will be much better in a week or 2.
