Braces taken off early. Whats going to happen?!
Question: What happens when you take off your braces early without a retainer? Because I did that 2 years ago and I feel that just now I feel a pain in my jaw due to that. It's hard to eat with that pain. And the braces were taken off for no cost because that was not my orthodontist.

When you take your braces off without a retainer the teeth have the potentiality of moving a great deal, which is why after braces you get a retainer. The pain is most likely linked to the moving of your teeth. Also, jaw pain could be linked to clenching during the night but if it hurts to eat, it is because your teeth are moving.
u shdnt let any1 make decisions about tking ur braces off but ur orthodontist. they will most probably move back to where they were before and go wonky. my advice is this:
go and see ur orthodontist IMMEDIATLY IF U CARE ABOUT HAVING GORGE TEETH.
