What's in a canker sore?!

Question: I've had a canker sore for awhile now, and it's really starting to bug me. By bug me I don't mean it hurts, I mean I want to know what's going on in it.

So, what's in a canker sore? Blood, puss, spit, etc?
That's been bugging me for a few days.

I went down to my school nurse today and had it checked out,
she said it looked a bit infected and to go to the dentist's,
so I plan on doing that soon.

Often a canker sore doesn't have anything inside it. It's infected on the surface and there may be swelling in your gums or cheeks in reaction to the infection. So, of your choices, I guess puss would be the closest.

Try holding a mouthful of warm salted water for a few minutes after each meal for a few days. It should make the sore go away pretty quickly. The mouth is amazing efficient at healing, but sometimes it needs a little help.

Could be them little things they call spirochetes. Look it up; is a serious venereal disease, Syphilis!
