To answer your question " has anyone died" , yes, but it is very rare for this to happen. Does it hurt...not while it's being done, but after you will have some pain. The doctor will probably order you some pain medication. How much pain depends on how much problems the dentist had removing the tooth and what your pain threshold is.

Most of the dental surgeries are pain less. under general anasthesia you will not know what is happening. under local anasthesia you are concious and know everthying done by oral surgeon.
Those people who are anxious and have fear of surgery may get the symptoms as mentioned by you.In that case tell the doctor who will give you premedication.
None has died to the best of my knowledge while under going dental surgery.

I HAD TWO PUT IN?

i dont know if anyone has died in the past but ive never heard of anyone dying of it. How much it hurts will depend on how impacted your teeth are, the more impacted the more it will hurt. i got mine out a couple of years ago, all you have to do is keep icing it and take whatever they give you for the pain. I didn't have it bad. I went out to dinner the next night.

I had all four taken out at one time. Yes, it hurts. And your face swells. They had to cut through bone to get to one of mine to get it out - but I didn't notice the extra pain from the bone cutting because the whole deal just hurt.

The worst pain is gone in two days. Keep cold compresses and those squishy ice packs handy - they help the ease the pain even better than the really strong drugs they give you for it.

Take pictures of your chipmunked self so you can laugh about it later.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. Believe it or not, that anxiety is actually worse for you than the pain. Then the pain goes away and it's all done and forgotten.

Heh, I had two pulled not even a month ago. One of them was very hard for them to pull out, but was absolutely painless as it was done... all I had was standard nova?caine or whatever the numbing agent is. The second one they did in the same day came out in seconds.... they pulled, twisted and plop it came out.

The only pain i had out of that was the next three days where the heavily probematic area hurt a bit.

Expect nothing, it wont hurt. If it does, tell them you feel it, and they give you more agent of whatever they are using.

I had this same question I am glad you asked it. I am terrified, 3 of mine are still connected to the bone and im going under general anestesia, I am really scared I won't wake up!
