It Wont affect you in any way, it will be a little awkward at first but you will soon be fine, my son had his done, he's 14 and to be perfectly honest i wish id left it as it was........ he was much quieter before ;-)
Welsh will be perfect. You will have to relearn English.
I'm tongue tied as well, never got the surgery done & at this point in my life, I don't care anymore. I don't think it would affect your speech too much though to have it done. But I wouldn't do it, just because I can't currently roll the "r".
This is a VERY simple procedure and I would advise you to have it done. Contact either an oral surgeon or periodontist. Not only will you be able to roll your r's better but you will be able to clean food off of your teeth better also. Good luck!
